You can replace potato starch with corn starch or arrowroot. > We mostly make pancakes, cookies brownies with this mix. > > > Thanks any ideas ladies! Namaste makes a couple of flour mixes that don't contain potato starch. https://www.namastefoods.com/shopping/storefront/cgi-bin/product_nutrition.cgi?P\ roduct_Id=44 & Category_Id_Search=5 & Closeout_Search=All & Return_Cgi=item_list.cgi https://www.namastefoods.com/shopping/storefront/cgi-bin/product_nutrition.cgi?P\ roduct_Id=49 & Category_Id_Search=4 & Closeout_Search=All & Return_Cgi=item_list.cgi --Ruth Anne
Guest guest
Thanks Ruth Anne – I just tried one today by Namaste and added ground almonds and flax seeds and my girls loved their pancakes. It is soy, dairy, gluten, potato free. Would still love to find a mix in greater bulk if anyone has some ideas? Guest guest
Cara, Our flour mix is free of potato starch, it contains rice flour, sorghum flour, and tapioca flour. We've found that potato starch leaves a gritty texture in gluten-free baked goods, which is why we went with sorghum flour...it's more expensive and harder to find, which is why you won't see it in many commercial products. You can buy our flour mix online at the following address: http://www.allergyfriendlypastries.com/onlinestore.html If you'd like to skip the shipping costs, do not order from the address above, just send me an email and say you'd like to order the flour mix for local pickup (we're in Milpitas), the cost is $9 for a 32 oz package.
