Guest guest
Despite the Giants sweeping the Dodgers yesterday, I was devastated when I arrived to AT & T Park and discovered they are no longer selling Redbridge. I became worried when I didn't see the sign they used to have up for it, and I didn't see it in the refrigerator, so I asked the man serving. His response was " No, sorry, we don't carry it anymore. To be honest, it just wasn't a big seller. " I think this made me more angry than anything else. Of course it's not a big seller! There are limited amounts of us who drink it. People without a gluten intolerance are not going to choose it over the wide variety of non-gluten free beers they sell. We weren't asking them to keep the fridge stocked, I'm sure just a case at a time would be fine. Would it really have had a negative impact on them by keeping it? I'll definitely be writing a letter to them to voice my opinion. It's one thing to never have it, but to bring about excitement by having it, and then take it away is much, much worse. Guest guest
I suspect the way to make it sell is to promote brand recognition for it as a mass-market beer, not to position it as intended for people with weird guts. If that doesn't happen, places like stadiums aren't going to carry it. Guest guest
At the Celiac Disease Awareness Night at AT & T Park - June 1st - I was informed that they were going to carry Redbridge .... after I read your email, I checked in with the Giant's. This was the response I got this morning: "Just talked with the head of that department, they are carrying Redbridge at location 2114 which is the microbrew stand. She promised that she would check to see if they had run out of it and that if they had she would make sure they did not run out again" -
Guest guest
it was also my understanding that Red Bridge was being reformulated, and the Rockies stadium substituted Bards. it is possible that they ran out rather than discontinued. From: "kdfriis@..." <kdfriis@...> Sent: Tue, August 3, 2010 12:42:49 PMSubject: [ ] Re:No more Redbridge at AT & T At the Celiac Disease Awareness Night at AT & T Park - June 1st - I was informed that they were going to carry Redbridge .... after I read your email, I checked in with the Giant's. Guest guest
I'm going on Tuesday night so I'll check again. I don't know where 'location 2114' is, but I'll ask around. I hope this is right!
