Guest guest
I think there is some tea-gluten connection I have been unaware of. It said something in the email on Dandy Blend teas about contamination during extraction. Can anyone add something on this subject? Thanks. Guest guest
Just for clarification -- the gluten-containing teas you mention are flavored teas, as opposed to straight, traditional teas. Thanks for telling us about these instances in your post, below. Plain Chinese or Indian tea (such as Camellia sinensis or Camellia assamica) wouldn't contain gluten although we might conceivably find one that's been adulterated. I can't imagine this would happen in any "plain" tea of even passably good quality. Plain herbal teas such chamomile shouldn't contain gluten, either -- but some might sneak in, unannounced through cross-contamination or "flavor-enhancement" It's always good to check. -----Original Message----- From: Linden <redchickn@...> < > Sent: Mon, Aug 2, 2010 1:18 pm Subject: [ ] (unknown) There's definitely gluten in some teas. I just found out that the Tazo Honeybush tea has gluten, and there's another one by Tazo -- maybe one with lemon and/or ginger. L²
