Guest guest
My wife and I went to the 15th and Valencia, SF, Pica Pica Maize Kitchen Saturday, and we were delighted. We both had cachapas, hers the Chorizo, mine the Pabellon (shredded skirt steak with plantains). We brought home a Pernil (pulled pork). They were delicious, robust, reasonably priced, and my wife had no reaction. Of course, her CS response is a long-term one, i.e. anemia, so we wouldn't know for a while in any case (weakness, spaciness, low hematocrit and hemoglobin). It is nice, though, to go to a restaurant where she does not have to worry about the food, though the owner is still trying to assure that the corn flour for the arepas is, as noted before, free from cross-contamination at the manufacturing facility.
