The stuff I'm currently taking is called Sofradex, and smells as though itcontains a small proportion of acetic acid - but again, no problems. Itsure beats the pain of the incipient infection that was bothering me - oneof the occasional curses of a hearing aid, as several other members haveposted.

Hi

Sofradex and me - we're old mates :-)

I recommend asking your GP for the ear spray 'Otomise' (or it could be 'Otomize') - that's what I'm pally with now... it really helps, especially when you've just finished a course of antibiotics and saves you going on a subsequent course. I find that within a day or two - literally - it helps clear up the infection. When I wore 'normal' hearing aids, it worked wonders, as I had eczema of the ear canal, too, which would soooooooooooooooo annoy me and this spray is sooooooooooooo soothing.

Anyway, if you can tolerate ear sprays, ask for this one - I swear by it these days.

Hope this helps.

Kazzy
