Guest guest
Hi, everyone! I'm Marcia, mother of 26-month-old (achon). I have a medical question for the list. has been sick (vomiting, diarrhea, fever) for four weeks and was admitted to the hospital on Monday for dehydration. The doctors really didn't know what was wrong and just assumed she had a virus. While hospitalized, they did many, many tests (blood samples, Xrays, stool cultures, urine tests, etc) while rehydrating her. We came home today (yeah), because all of the tests came back normal except one - a sweat test - which is used to test for cystic fibrosis. The first sweat test results were inconclusive. The tests were repeated today and were, according to the doctor, a little positive. Negative means everything is okay. The doctors are setting us up with an appointment with 's pulmonologists next week. My question is do any of you have any experience with this. I have learned that dwarfs are usually hot natured, and takes this to the extreme, and sweats a lot. Please share any information any of you have about sweat tests and cystic fibrosis. Your help is, as always, greatly appreciated.
