Sleep apnea -- Male or female?

Is sleep apnea more prominent in lp males? My dad, who is 'normal' suffers

from sleep apnea big time (even had surgery for it). My brother who is

achondroplasia, has sleep apnea, and is supposed to wear a breathing machine

to sleep in. I, who am achondroplasia as well, was just thinking earlier

today. I sleep with my mouth open... I have a hard time relying on

breathing only through my nose.. and was wondering if sleep apnea has a lot

to do w/nasal passages.. or just the whole breathing thing in general...
