Guest guest
It's not convenient...but we love Kandice Stellmon at Whole Child Wellness (a great holistic pediatric practice) in Belmont. She was absolutely fabulous, full of ideas and encouragement. We met with the nutritionist at UCSF pediatric GI clinic and she was terrible, so it was totally worth it to us to travel. We only saw her twice, and she really set us up with a plan, and was happy to answer questions and follow up by phone and email.Scroll down this page for Kandice's bio:http://www.wholechildwellness.com/who.htm#kandice Marci From: White <lisawolkwhite@...> Sent: Mon, August 16, 2010 2:32:39 PMSubject: [ ] dietician/ nutritionist Hi - Does anyone have a recommendation for a nutritionist/ dietician who has experience with kids with celiac? East bay preferred, but we'll go to SF or wherever if we need to. We looked into Oakland Children's Hospital's nutrition department, but our pediatrician says they're not so good. Thanks! Guest guest
Thanks for the recommendation, Marci - Sorry to hear that the UCSF people weren't more helpful - they were on my list of places to call. My daughter who has celiac is extremely picky, and we're finding it tough to get enough protein and fiber into her, and not too much of the junk or g-f bread products. Plus, she's starting kindergarten next week and her lunches for school need to be gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and meat-free (some of those for her celiac, the others school rules) and we're kind of at a loss. Thanks! .. ----- Original Message ----- From: Marci Riseman Sent: Monday, August 16, 2010 3:28 PM Subject: Re: [ ] dietician/ nutritionist It's not convenient...but we love Kandice Stellmon at Whole Child Wellness (a great holistic pediatric practice) in Belmont.
