Hi Marie,

My husband and I have three children. Two boys 13 and 11 both average

stature and a 5 year old daughter with achondroplasia. We found out

had obstructive apnea when she was 5 months old. At 6 months old she had her

tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes put in her ears. Unfortunately after

the surgery she still had the apnea. was on Nasal c-pap for 2 1/2

years. We never had any problems with her ears getting blocked. As a matter

of fact, just had her tubes removed last week. They were in place

for 4 1/2 years. had T-tubes in her ears. Also, both of my boys also

had their tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes put in place. Both of my

boys had different kinds of tubes than did. Our oldest had to have

tubes twice. The second time he had metal tubes put in. We never had any

trouble with any of their tubes getting blocked. Do you know what kind of

tubes your child has? Has your doctor suggested a different type of tube to

try?

has been off her c-pap for about two years. She had sleep

studies every six months for about 1 1/2 years after she went off the c-pap.

I hope this helps!!

By the way, 's ENT is Doctor Diane Heatley in Madison Wisconcin.

Doctor i referred us to her.

Sincerely, Jody
