I worked as tech support for a long time on computers. Software,

hardware, and everythings else that goes along with them. If your

going to buy a computer, make sure you have warranty for one thing,

and make sure you set it all up as soon as you get home, don't let it

sit in the box too long cause then you won't have time to test it all

out. Emachines were really not that bad, just change the power

supply, the modem, and the processor and then your good to go there.

Don't buy anything with a celeron, in my experience there have been

to many computers that were sent back to Wal-mart that had issues

with celeron. ( I worked at Wal-mart and watched them all go back to

claims). Also, when I worked as Tech support we had issues with

celeron, it's not very compatiable with quit a few programs. Please

trust me on that note. Gateway's are not bad, and neither are Dell's.

Compaq sucks. Get something that has Pentium 1 and above. Thats your

best shot. I hope this helps. Dede
