Guest guest
I used Authentic Foods Multi Blend flour and a recipe from the side of a C & H sugar bag. They came out really good!On Mon, Sep 13, 2010 at 11:47 AM, Galliano Gang <galliano.gang@...> wrote: Anyone have a fabulous gf sugar cookie recipe to make holiday cookies with? Thank you! Guest guest
Butter would be a fine alternative, it will just have a more buttery taste. You could also substitute a non-hydrogenated palm oil shortening like Tropical Traditions (http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/organic_palm_shortening.htm) for a vegan option that won't alter the taste. It's just important to use some kind of fat, even a liquid oil could work if the recipe is not already too liquidy. The one below calls for Crisco - do you think it could be made with butter, instead? Just wondering if that will fundamentally change the cookie? Thanks, Tristan Sent from my tin can and string. Please excuse mumbling and static. -----Original Message----- From: Wucher <lrw58@...> Sent: Mon, Sep 13, 2010 6:44 pm Subject: Re: [ ] sugar cookies? This is a great one. All of our family and friends love them too and when baked after being rolled out and cut with cookie cutters, they hold their shape pretty well. http://www.food.com/recipe/gluten-free-dutch-sugar-cookies-183003 -----Original Message----- >From: Galliano Gang <galliano.gang@...> >Sent: Sep 13, 2010 11:47 AM > >Subject: [ ] sugar cookies? > >Anyone have a fabulous gf sugar cookie recipe to make holiday cookies >with? Guest guest
Anyone ever tried the sugar cookie recipe on the Pamela’s Vanilla Cake mix package? It is incredibly simple – I think you just add butter and water or milk to the packaged mix, refrigerate, roll, etc. It works remarkably well for something so simple. I keep a roll in my freezer and slice off a few round cookies to bake and frost whenever needed.
