I am trying to figure out where we can stop to eat on the drive to Disneyland.

We havent eaten out since August when our then 2yr old got dxed. I am tryihg to

find some names of kid friendly gluten free places to eat.

Red Robin has burgers for her (no buns or seasoning)...but they cant promise the

fries wouldnt be in the same fryer as other stuff...So that would suck....

In 'N Out protein burger is lettuce wrapped. You can order it without the special sauce; ketchup on the side. Be sure to let the server know if you have any cross contamination concerns. Nothing else goes into their fryers but french fries. From: Libby <libbykranz@...> Sent: Mon, December 13, 2010

I think the Red Robin fries depend on the restaurant--you have to ask the

manager. So if you know which one you'll be going to, you could call ahead to

see if they have a dedicated fryer. We had a great experience at a Red Robin by

Wild Waves in Seattle. The manager came out to make sure everything was okay

and to discuss the gluten free menu with me. They really knew what they were

doing.

Ditto Disneyland, by the way. You're going to have a great time there!

I'd stick with in n out. We get the flying dutchman for my DD, which is just two patties and two slices of cheese. She's not keen on veggies so we always keep a bunch of fruit in the car to snack on. When we drove down to SDO when she was dairy, gluten, soy and many veggies and fruit free (she had allergic colitis when she was a baby), we just packed our own food. The Thermos' kept the hot food hot and I think at one point we stopped at a grocery store and picked up some ham, lettuce, popcorn, etc. When we travel we often just hit up the grocery store and rely on sandwich meat, cheese and we're sure to toss a few boxes of Glutino crackers in the car. From: Libby <libbykranz@...>Subject: [ ] driving to disneyland...where to stop Date: Monday, December 13, 2010, 7:58 PM

We stopped in Goleta and ate at Jungle Grill. I had a sandwich on grilled plantain... flattened and grilled it made an excellent replacement for bread. So very yummy. Wish I could have one now. Be aware that their sweet potato fries are NOT gluten free. The have regular burgers, sandwiches and lots of healthy food. Staff was very generous and knowledgeable with information. Jungle Grill
