Caution! Product mislabeled as GF at Trader Joe's

OH MY GOD! I just bought this!!! Thank you so much. It is sitting in my

freezer right now.

Since I discovered this, I called the Capitola TJ's and the person that I spoke to did not know if the corporate office had been informed. Has anyone called or written to Trader Joe’s to ask about this? Ultimately, whether or not it is an error, if the package is marked gluten-free but contains wheat, we should get the word out to other groups. I hesitate to do so until we have contacted the manufacturer to hear what they say. I don’t want to call because I have not actually seen the product so I can’t describe it. Both sides of the package had the symbol "v" for vegan; only one side also had the "g" for gluten-free. The manager I spoke to believed that it was an error in the manufacturing of the packaging.

Here is the response from Trader Joe's regarding its shitakii mushrooms and tofu with rice product:Thank you for sharing your concerns. Unfortunately, our packaging wasmislabeled and product was shipped to our stores without our knowledgeof the labeling error. Our stores have been instructed to place signagenear this item of this print error for 'no gluten ingredients'. Productwill not be removed from shelves as we will continue to sell throughremaining product. New packaging has been corrected and will no longerinclude the 'no gluten ingredients' icon.I also wanted to make sure you are aware
