Guest guest
Hi Dr. Fife, Does " alkalizing effect " means it makes body fluids more alkaline? Does sea salt which is also very rich in the alkali mineral sodium also have the same effect? Is the alkalizing effect based already on scientific study? Or this is an expert opinion that you share (which is already very much valuable as such)? Thanks for any further clarifications. Guest guest
Tony, Alkalizing effect means, as you mentioned, it makes the body more alkaline. It is somewhat like lemon juice, lemons are acidic but have an alkalizing effect on body chemistry. Coconut water is slightly acidic, due to citric and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) content, but has an alkalizing effect on the body. This is not my opinion, I've read studies that demonstrate this. If you want more information about this you should get my book " Coconut Water for Health and Healing. Guest guest
Dr. Fife, Do you feel it is more beneficial to take Monolurin alone or to get the Lauric acid from Coconut oil. I am just as confused as i can be on this. One says one is better and on and on and I have not a clue I seem to feel better with just the coconut oil, but have trouble keeping my wt. down with it. please help if you can. I did order some of the Monolurin which is supplied by just one company. thanks. Pat ps can you take both, or would that be too much? Guest guest
Pat, I prefer to take the coconut oil. I think it is just as good, if not better than monolaurin. You can take both if you like. Bruce Re: Coconut Water Hi Mr. Fife, Would you know if the coconut water is alkaline or acidic? Thanks. Guest guest
Pat: Just the other day Dr. Fife sent in a LONG EMAIL explaining that it is FAR BETTER, to use the VCO in it's entire form rather than extracting just the Monolaurin and he explains why. Guest guest
I hope you saw my response. I'm no expert..at least I'm not going to claim to be one, but Monolaurin by itself has it's benefits, as does VCO. From what I've read Monolaurin can help some people where VCO can't or hasn't.
