Welcome, Todd!

Sorry you are having such difficulties.

An anti-CCP test and imaging of your hands and/or feet may help detect RA

early, but, difficult as it is, the best thing to do is just hang in there

until you see the rheumatologist.

Start making a list of all symptoms, a timeline, and questions you may have

for him/her.

I hope you find some answers soon.

Thank you for your response. I've started a journal of the pain going

back to the beginning, and I will make a list of questions to ask. I

suppose I will just have to wait until I go to the rheumatologist.

Until then, there's nothing for me to do but wait.

My RF factor was negative, my hands are very band and hurt all the

time. The Rhummy said he had a suspicion. He did an MRI on my hands

and as soon as they shot the dye in to check for RZ. it lit up like a

christmas tree. He also saidlately he has seen several cases just like

this. He said he could not give me an answer as to why the RF was

negative but there was no doubt in his mind after the mri. Ask the

Rhummy you see about it.Heidi

Heidi,

Thanks for the explanation. When I first started reading it, I thought

you were serious. :-)

Hi all,

I know autoimmune diseases tend to go together. Anyone in this group also struggling with rheumatoid arthritis? any link with Celiac? I am going through a round of screening tests now and could use some advice...

Thanks,

Hi ,

My rheumatologist told me that getting glutened will make any kind of arthritis

flare up. I got glutened a few months ago, and my hands were really stiff and

painful for about 2 weeks.
