question about vitamin B12 deficiency

I'm new to this group, and am wondering if anyone else has had a problem with absorption of vitamin B12 or other vitamins and minerals due to celiac? I have been taking B12 supplements since May due to high MCV (a sign of B12 deficiency), but am still feeling very anemic when I exercise, like I have no strength at all. Has anyone else experienced this? I've heard some people need B12 shots. If anyone has tried them, do they help?
