Hi there!

I had a wonderful experience eating dinner on a busy Saturday night at Jack's

Restaurant & Bar in Pleasant Hill (60 Crescent Drive):

http://jacksrestaurants.com/home.htm. One of the managers (Tim) and the head

chef whom I believe is also a manager () both completely understood what it

meant to have celiac disease, including the cross-contamination issues in the

kitchen. They do not have a gluten-free menu, however, they are very

gluten-free friendly. By the way, I did stop by the restaurant prior to my

Saturday night dinner and " grilled " them with all the appropriate questions.

I chose to start with a salad, blackened catfish with yummy mashed potatoes and

vegetables as an entree. And, I even had an amazingly delicious gluten-free and

flour-free dessert (CHOCOLATE INDULGENCE: guittard chocolate, toasted pecan and

walnut crust).

I highly recommend trying this restaurant. The dining experience reminded me of

what it was like to eat at restaurants prior to having celiac disease which was

really nice.

Take care,

Stacey
