Pam, hemp is not superior protein unless you're only comparing it to

other vegetable proteins. It has low biological value and you have not

heard otherwise from scientific data.

Hemp protein powder is only about 50% protein. Not one of the

vegetable proteins are as good as the cheapest meat cuts, and body

builders who switched to vegetable protein from egg or whey protein

started to lose muscle mass right away. This is seen in many vegans,

who are obviously emaciated in the lean tissues and muscle, even when

they have too much fat in their fat cells.

Unless it's been extracted, milled hemp seeds may also contain

unacceptable amounts of inflammatory linoleic acid, which comprises

25% to 35% of the seed weight and 43% TO 62% of the total oil content.

This is a very inflammatory oil, especially because when linoleic is

plentiful, as it is in most peoples' diets, conversion of alpha-

linolenic to essential omega-3 oils EPA and DHA is impaired!

Hempseed Composition

25% Protein

Hemp Oil Fatty Acid Profile

43-62% Linoleic acid (LA) Omega-6*

19-25% Alpha Linolenic acid (LNA) Omega-3*

7-9% Oleic acid Omega-9*

2-4.5% Gamma Linolenic acid (GLA, not shown)

1-2% Stearidonic acid (SDA, not shown))

8-10% Saturated Oils

*fatty acids that are essential to human health

Hemp foods may be seen by the health-conscious as little more than a

waste product of the textiles industry.

Duncan, ok, guess I'll stick to the Jarrow Whey I have been taking.

Thanks
