Are the ingredients wildly different > from NT recipes? > > Jo Jo, I haven't tried any recipes yet -- *just* got the book. Flipping through it, the recipes aren't wildly different from anything NT. You do need bones & /or stock available for them. A lot are fairly straightforward/simple, but there are also more complicated recipes. For instance, he's got a tripe recipe that he says takes several days to prepare. Requires about 20 pounds of food (7 lbs tripe, 4 beef feet, pork skin, beef fat), but cooks down to yield 6 servings. He describes it, " But what servings they are! An unctuous, apple- flavored and enriched gravy coats the bits of now squid-like, tender tripe, which is the gustatory equivalent of being in the Sistine chapel alone. " Here's another example of one of his more complicated recipes (this one made me think of Mike , except that you cook the octopus). This is a fish stew from Italy which calls for octopus, cuttlefish, 10-18 small squid, striped bass, 6-15 small fish, yellowtail fillets and mahimahi! It looks like a great NT book. Guest guest
, This is one book Nutrition and Your Mind. I shopped around for it (try used book search addall.com) and finished it a few weeks ago. It's a keeper! Can't help you out. Have 's Personality Strength and Psychochemical Energy on it's way from Amazon used. Only two 's I know of. Did get Rudolph Wiley's Biobalance: The Acid/Alkaline Solution to the Food-Mood- Health Puzzle interlibrary loan, then purchased after. Wiley expanded on 's acid-alkaline typing by adjusting the neutral point used in blood plasma ph testing. Was acidic IIRC. From this blood plasma ph readings of acidity or alkalinity away from adjusted norm determined diet and specific supplements for the individual. Both 's and Wiley's books have remarkable case studies. Both of Wiley's most alkaline and most acidic patients were institutionalized and released after biobalance. If you're looking into metabolic typing or biochemical individuality it seems is the first or one of the first researchers to expand upon J. Biochemical Individuality. Guest guest
Gretchen, I read this post and am wondering where can one find these books you mentioned? " Did you get the booklet from HNF about CMT, or Paolo Vinci's book > about the 7 stages, or the new book/CD from CMT UK? All of these > resources will help you better understand the workings of CMT. "
Guest guest
You can get Paolo Vinci's book from http://aicmt.org when you join, they send the book free. You can get the other updatedbook and/or updated CD I mentioned from http://cmt.org.uk I do not remember the cost off-hand. You can get the booklet from HNF by contacting someone through their website (I think there is a banner on top you can click on that will take you there) http://hnf-cure.org I do not remember that price either. You might also be interested in Senneff's books on peripheral neuropathy, available through Amazon.com or and Noble. You can get Denedria Banksbook " Melodies of my Life " from Amazon.com too ~ Gretchen
Guest guest
I lived in my vehicle with important papers on my roof in a watertight bag meant for kayaking. Well, condensation got to them & they got REALLY moldy. I put them in the sun on a dry day, used about 5 ziplocks for them all -each ziploc with about a 1/2 cup of borax. I made sure to get all the air out before sealing. After 2 more years they were still black of course but the mold died. I wore gloves & made copies finally. This was an extreme case but I would think it would work for books you can't part with. Read them outside in the future to be sure. > > Do you try to save any of them at all, put in plastic containers and store somewhere far away for 5 years or do you dump them.. ?? > > Thanks, again.:-) > > Robin >
Guest guest
Hello Everyone,I have a copy of the Gluten Free Girl, and Living Gluten Free for Dummies. I barely touched them, as I am not a big non-fiction or self-help book reader. Would anyone here like them? They are in Danville.
