Guest guest
I've never tried it, but would suggest using coconut cream instead, which is a much denser form since it does not have the water added to it. And probably adding some sort of sweetener to is, as condensed milk is typically super sweet. You can check out a great source for coconut cream here:http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/coconut_cream_concentrate.htmenjoy and good luck! i'd love ot be updated with your progress on this!best,SaraFrom: Jeannie <jeannie.lopez@...> Sent: Tue, January 11, 2011 9:05:20 PMSubject: [ ] re:condensed milk & sour cream substitute Hi there, Has anyone ever tried making condensed milk out of coconut milk? If so, how did you do it? We are gluten/dairy/soy free & I use coconut milk all the time instead of regular milk & evaporated milk, but don't know how to substitute for condensed milk. Also, does anyone know of any gluten/dairy/soy free product to use instead of sour cream? Thanks, Jeannie
