Guest guest
The other night I was watching Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe. I was very surprised and confused to witness a company pollenating date trees by taking the pollen from one tree and then SIFTING it with WHEAT flour (to basically use less pollen to pollenate more trees). Once they finished creating the mixture of pollen and wheat flour, they then sprayed this mixture into the tree in order to pollenate and make new dates. Question: would mixing the pollen with the wheat flour cause the flour/gluten to get into the dates? Has anyone ever gotten sick from eating dates? Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this.
