Guest guest
I had the pleasure of trying one of the Gluten Free Ficelli (French breadstick) today which I found at Norma Jean's Coffee in Aptos. My intention was to have it in the evening with a variety of cheeses and a glass of wine but it didn't quite last that long. I immediatly took a bite since it was warm and fresh, and the texture was soft. I have never tasted anything gluten free so similar to a regular french baguette. By the time I got home there was 1/2 loaf left (it is maybe 2" x 14") and my non gf husband said after he tried it that I had found a WINNER. My 4 y.o. non gf son insisted he enjoy the rest which, as generous as I am, I had to put my foot down. This was mine which was delicious with slices of Manchego cheese and herbed goat cheese. I will definitely stock up this week and bring some back to my g f friends reading this in Hollister. Thanks Joe for giving us some much needed delicious French bread!
