Guest guest
The food at our annual Christmas party was so delicious! Except for gluten crackers served with the cheese spread (my husband prefers saltine crackers), the rest of the food was g-f and enjoyed by all! Appetizers were potato chips and onion dip (Safeway's dried onion soup mix is g-f - tastes just like Liptons), deviled eggs, nuts, fresh veggies & homemade ranch dip and a tasty cheese spread with gluten and g-f crackers (separate dishes of course). The main course was cooked cut-up chickens from Costco, creamy mashed potatoes, homemade beans, strawberry/banana jello salad and yummy corn salad. The dessert tray was " to die for! " Homemade orange walnut biscotti, Fruity Pebbles marshmallow treats (the colors of Christmas!) and, best of all, macadamia nut and white chocolate chip cookies! Everyone raved about the biscotti and macadamia nut cookies and couldn't believe they were g-f! I really enjoyed making most of the food from scratch. No one noticed that gluten was even missing. That felt so good! Sue
