The event will take place in the Carpenter Hall meeting room at the Sunset Cultural Center in Carmel, California. The entrance to Carpenter Hall is located on Mission Street between 8th and 10th Avenues. Park in the city public parking lot on the southwest corner of Mission Street and 8th Avenue (free after 6 pm) or in parking at Sunset Center. Carpenter Hall is about 1/2 block from 8th Avenue on the west side of Mission Street. For more directions and a map, go to: http://www.sunsetcenter.org/parking_directions.html

Reservations are recommended to guarantee your seat and to help our planning, but are not absolutely required. You can make reservations online at http://event.pingg.com/DrGreenCarmel

This event is presented by the Santa Cruz Celiac Support Group and is open to the public. You are welcome to pass on the invitation to this event to any who may be interested. A voluntary contribution of $3.00 is suggested to cover room rental; any remainder after we cover our costs will be donated to the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University (Dr. Green is kindly donating his time).

For further information about this event and a list of gluten-friendly restaurants in the Monterey/Carmel area contact Pam Newbury by phone 831-423-6904 or e-mail pknewbury@...

Dr. Green will also be speaking in San Francisco on November 11; for more information on that event, go to http://www.northbayceliacs.org/SFnews.html#BayAreaNews

Note: I would like to get the word out about this to the larger community. If anyone is interested in putting up posters (at health food stores, vitamin shops, etc.) to advertise these two events in their local area, please contact Pam Newbury (see info above). I am especially looking for people to put up notices in Carmel, Monterey, Salinas, and Hill/Gilroy as well as the greater bay area.
