Guest guest
Sol: There is only two explanations for this high Testosterone. First of all (you may not have read it before) I think this is only temporary. July 30th, my Testosterone level was normal (at 40 on my lab report) and these tests are expensive, so I can't keep doing them. THEN I started using 2 tbsp. daily of VCO every morning to give me the energy to keep me going all day as these Radiation treatments are VERY TIRING. October 3rd Radiation is now OVER and my lab report for October 31st shows Testosterone is now 699 (from 40) and I was having trouble sleeping, so I had to stop the VCO and within a week started sleeping much better. I don't want to give up the VCO altogether as it has helped my Candida overgrowth problem, so I'm down to 1 teaspoon every second day. Then the end of January I will do another test, this time a Saliva test which is even more accurate. So my only explanation is that it MIGHT have been the Pelvic Radiation but I doubt it, because the Oncologist said that this Pelvic Radiation destroys the Ovaries completely and she has to GIVE hormones to her patients, not try to lower their levels. Now the interesting thing is that my DHEA has doubled which makes sense. Dr. Fife said that VCO has a fatty substance (a Sterol) which is very similar to Pregnenolone produced in the body and the PATHWAY FROM Pregnenolone goes like this - 17a-hydroxypregnenolone THEN TO DHEA THEN TO Androstenediol THEN TO Testosterone THEN TO Estradiol. So I didn't want to test FOR ALL THESE HORMONES (too costly) so I just followed the HORMONE CASCADE and ordered DHEA, Testosterone and Estradiol and GUESS WHAT? THEY'RE ALL ELEVATED to levels of a 35 year old woman and I am 65. But in July they were normal. So what do you think of that? NOW if they are all back to normal in January after my REDUCTION IN VCO intake, then that is PROOF BEYOND A DOUBT, that it was caused by the VCO. Right? People are always saying that VCO gives them energy and so does Testosterone but WHO would think to test for these hormones? I sent my results to Dr. Fife and he is hoping that others will also send in their results. Now what is your thoughts on this? I hope I've explained it all to a better degree. Guest guest
I'm betting it was the radiation. No question in my mind, though I can't explain the mechanism. I was taking coconut oil but not always every day, though I had been eating it for a long time sporadically when I had my hormone and cortisol tests run, and my DHEA was in the dirt, and testosterone was low normal. sol Bonnie Cole wrote: > There is only two explanations for this high Testosterone. > > First of all (you may not have read it before) I think this is only > temporary. Guest guest
I thought of a little analogy I'd like to share. It does not prove anything, but it sheds light on why I am not comfortable pointing fingers at coconut oil without any real hard evidence. Back about 35 years ago, I spent some time studying the witchcraft trials in Europe during the Inquisition. Some farmer had a cow who went dry for no apparent reason. He suspected the old woman who was looking at his cow gave the cow the " evil eye " . Since no other explanation could be figured out, the old woman was put to death. Or some young man had nocturnal emissions with dream memories of the pretty young woman in the village. So the young woman was accused of being in league with satan, then executed. I just do not want to see coconut oil convicted upon the same sort of inference. Coconut oil can be made into a convenient scapegoat, but i need to see far more proof before I am willing to allow coconut oil to be convicted of raising testosterone levels to dangerous levels. There are a lot of malicious false information being spread by the seed oil manufacturers. I would not want them to have more ammunition to use against coconut oil because one person has unexplained high testosterone levels. Guest guest
Seems to me there's a third possibility no one has addressed: An error from the lab. That swing from 40 to 699 and back is just too suspicious...Jerry > > There is only two explanations for this high Testosterone. > > > > First of all (you may not have read it before) I think this is only > > temporary. Guest guest
Yep. In fact I did mention to Bonnie that she should get the test done again to rule out lab error. sol jerrylla wrote: > Seems to me there's a third possibility no one has addressed: An > error from the lab. Guest guest
Yes I remember you mentioning it (and started to tell jerry but didn¹t) chatnelle On 12/23/08 11:38 PM, " sol " <solbun@...> wrote: > > > > Yep.
