Sounds good. What's the crust like? Any pizza (or pasta) place you can compare the dishes to?Also, reviewing the website, it looks expensive. What is the price range? Thanks, HogleFreelance academic librarianInstructor, online researchEmail: jjhogle@...Web: (under de- and re-construction) www.blueroom.comReality ain't what you think it isArt Graphics & Photographs[http://www.blueroom.com/realityaint.htm]From: mqputnam <mqputnam@...> Sent: Fri, January 7, 2011 9:03:16 PMSubject: [ ] New gluten free pizza and pasta in Menlo Park

I just wanted to tell you about the most amazing gluten free pizza I just had at Ristorante Mataro at 827 Santa Cruz Ave in Menlo Park. I had a Mediterranean pizza and It was so good I was afraid it was a regular pizza. But I spoke with the owner who told me he had been working on perfecting his own home made gluten free pizza dough for weeks. It was truly fantastic! They also have several choices for gluten free organic pasta including linguini with clams. They are very aware of cross contamination issues. He said he would also try to have gluten free beer and deserts if people come in and request it. The other food is amazing too. My gluten loving husband was also in heaven!

The crust is not as thin as the other gluten free pizza crusts but it is fluffy

and ethereal like a normal medium (between thin and thick) pizza dough--soft on

the inside with a tiny bit of crispiness on the outside. Pizza and pastas are

the same gluten free or non gluten free price wise and they are about $15. It

fills one large plate. I like to eat a lot so the portion was perfect for me.

Two small kids could split one. In this case it is not expensive for the

incredible quality. Far superior to Amici's and Applewood's gluten free

offerings. Truly like normal pizza.
