WAP Inspired Protocol for reclaiming Dentin

Dental issues in children are rarely related to " not brushing " or

" poor hygiene, " but almost always to poor nutrition. That means

overconsumption of sugar and not enough nutrients from foods. Dr.

Price figured this out, but the AMA to this day still poo-poos that

idea. Children were not meant to deal with the amount of sugar our

society peddles on them. Schools and daycares have no idea what it

means to eat healthy - they follow the food pyramid.

Below is the post from earlier this month about CLO/HVBO and resolving

dental issues. Let me reiterate this part though: You can follow/do

this protocol fully and religiously, but if you allow sugar (of any

kind) or simple carbs, it will not work. You will just be wasting

your time and efforts. We also avoided fruit while we did this.

Often times I make " treat balls " with coconut oil, a nutbutter of some

kind, a little raw cacao and xylitol. Xylitol is a known bacteria

fighter and can be bought by the pound. It also comes in toothpaste,

which we use and chewing gum, which we tried until I started finding

little white gummy piles all over the house ...

Okay this is interesting. My dh eats very different than I do, but in

general the child in question does not regularly have sweets, etc.

However, my child who from birth has always preferred to eat more like me,

never had this issue....

Anyway, I did already know this, but that always just made it more confusing

since of course I do my best to only offer good nutritional choices (which

is the same I did with my first and he did fine).

He isn¹t a big fruit eater, the occasional apple or part of an orange, so I

don¹t think avoiding the fruit for awhile will be difficult...thanks for

clarifying that.

I don¹t know if I will be able to get this child to eat those treat balls,

but I can try :).

Just read the protocol. I¹ll probably have more questions as we go, but it

was pretty much what I was expecting.

The blue ice is the one I have right now that I¹ll need to pitch and order

again. Thanks for explaining all that because the friend I talked to before,

before I ordered it also said to get the blue ice.

So its okay for him to continue to still have his occasional amount of 100%

whole grain bread? He does eat some of that. That¹s the main thing carby

that he eats...otherwise he¹s kind of a meat and broccoli kind of guy......

His dad feeds him other stuff at times (like cereal or waffles, but not even

weekly) but I¹ll try to get dh to stop doing that...... ( I don¹t know if he

will believe me about the cavity thing, but I¹m going to try)

What do you use for the probiotic? I have acidopholous in the fridge, but

figured their is something more/something else you use?
