Lauric acid is in the white coconut milk and coconut oil from the processing of the white coconut milk. Mr. Sev Magat, coconut expert, can settle this for us. The lauric acid as i said is in the oil and in the coconut milk. The coconut milk where the oil is also derived from comes from VERY MATURE coconuts. I've asked some who sell the stuff, and they indicate that there's not much lauric acid in it, but none of them have said " none " . Here's a place that sells young coconuts: " Coconut Water is Better than processed baby milk- It contains lauric acid, which is present in human mother's milk " http://www.rawguru.com/store/raw-food/organic_wild_young_coconuts.html That compilation, it says, was written by Kohler. Doing a search for his name and coconuts it seems he's written some other things on coconuts as well. Has a couple of " raw food " websites. He has done extensive research on all aspects of the coconut tree, fruit, oil, water etc. He is like a walking " dictionary " on coconuts.
