Traveling with GF kids to Washington DC

Hi all,Think we are taking the kids to Washington DC for a few days to enjoy the capital. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for the following:1. Kid Friendly, GF friendly restaurants - anywhere near the major sites (mall, smithsonian, capital hill, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.2. Places to stay - looking for a place with kitchen if possible - best place I could find was near Dupont Circle.Anything else you recommend? Thanks for any suggestions.
