Guest guest
You are right in the fact that we should stand up for each other in these types of situations. However, calling up a school representative to berate him with vulgarities or other types of nasty comments such as name calling would not help the situation. All it could do is create another stereotype that all LPs are troublemakers if not given what they want. It can make us look like bullies and/or whiners. I think that Rose did the most appropriate thing by consulting with an attorney and resigning. Now she is free to continue her education and reach the goals she has set for herself. Rose, I wish you the best. I do think that if an LPA representative were to contact the paper to give an LPA stance it would be more affective towards our cause, rather than a bunch of us calling up someone finger-pointing and name calling. United we stand - divided we fall. --- Nick S Mowery <ncsmowery@...> wrote: > > > I think we should all get behind her and CALL THE > SCHOOL and let him > know what > a SOB he is If I had that number I would do that > If ant one can get > that number > PLEASE put it out and than call the school dist. > head office and tell > them If I had new > about this when it was going on I would have called > back than we need to > back > each other on things like this if we dont WHO > WILL???? > > Nick Mowery > __________________________________________________

Guest guest
These boobs at the school district don't even seem to understand that they've behaved badly. I agree that it would be unwise and counter productive to post the phone number to the school district. Still somebody needs to tell 'em so they can play with their toys and friends better next time. A friendly letter from the LPA might be a good idea. Maybe put in an overview of why people of short stature can have serious back problems that require special care, ect. It could educate them and remind them that they're not acting in a vacuum, people see what they do. That might make things go much easier for the next disabled employee they hire. With a little knowledge they might even come to conclusion that people with different abilities might even have different qualities that would be valuable to pass on to their students. (Though that could backfire. A little knowledge in the hands of the wrong people can be a very dangerous thing and these people sound a few crayons short of a full box.) I've got a feeling that's an unnecessary suggestion though. The people I've met or talked with in the LPA seem pretty on the ball. My hunch is that letter's already written and on the way.
