Guest guest
Just to chime in, I have been oil pulling with VCO for a couple months now, once a day and not religiously. At first I wasn't impressed with the whitening, which seemed to be more like graying. But since I've started with Spry toothpaste, my teeth are getting MUCH whiter. I haven't been able to read Mr. Fife's book yet, but I have added to my routine swishing my toothbrush in salt/baking soda water after brushing, to disinfect it, snuffing the S/BS water up my sinuses, and tongue scraping before a final rinse and gargle. There have already been a couple colds that have run through our household this season, and they both missed me. I'm also taking olive leaf extract when I'm exposed, which is often because I tutor school children. I just looked at the skin around my mouth with glasses on today, and I do notice fewer small lines in the mouth area. At the corners of the eyes, I don't know. I generally use only castor oil for moisturizing my face, and Bare Minerals for make-up and soap almost never. I'm afraid to try oil pulling with sesame oil. I think I might gag? Cheers! nah > > I thought i would combine an update and a comment about sesame seed > oil at the same time. > > Ive ben oil pulling for 3 weeks and the diferance to my skin is > amasing, esp on my face and heel. Guest guest
I thought i would update this as its been a while. you know whatits like, you try something and after a while you forget what it does. When you run out of VCO,you get some more and start again and realise the good it does. I havnt done it for a month and what started me again was the white crud starting to form on my tongue, which was pure pink from the OPing. After oil pulling with VCO for the 2nd day,Ive noticed the energy. I walk 4 times a week 5kms. Today I felt like i was flying...man what a feeling. I OPed for 30 mins before i went for my walk. So Im glad i re-started. Im going to try and find out how much oil is absorbed in the mouth. I do know it get into the blood stream a lot quicker. Guest guest
The Mechanics of Sublingual Absorption The route of absorption via the highly vascularized buccal mucosa, under the tongue, allows a more direct access to the blood circulation, providing direct systemic administration. The active ingredients are directly absorbed through the mucosa and passed via the jugular vein to the superior vena cava. Thus the gastro-intestinal tract and the liver are by-passed. The sublingual artery carries the absorbed substances into the sublingual gland. The sublingual artery originates in the lingual artery, which is the body's main blood supply to the tongue and floor of the mouth. The lingual artery stems from the external carotid artery, which originates in the common carotid artery. The carotid artery provides quick access to the cerebral hemisphere and the heart. In this way, sublingual absorption gives a rapid systemic effect.
Guest guest
Has anyone heard that OP can loosen fillings in the teeth? It sounds possible if they are older amalgams. Guest guest
If the filling is loose, oil pulling may let you know you have a problem. Not knowing you have a loose filling is a recipe fo rmajor tooth infection. Guest guest
But do you think that if there was infection in the filling, the OP would remove it and it could tighten up, or reattach to the tooth again? Guest guest
, If your filling is loose you need to have it removed and the tooth cleaned. It will never tighten up, the surrounding tooth has rotted. Guest guest
, didn't Dr. Fife just indicate oil pulling does NOT pull things through the skin, but clean the mouth, on this list, a few days ago? Guest guest
Duncan, I was not talking about pulling things through the skin. I was referring to pulling things FROM/IN the mouth. Which is where the filling in the tooth is. If OP does not pull things even from the mouth, then what good DOES OP do? , didn't Dr. Fife just indicate oil pulling does NOT pull things through the skin, but clean the mouth, on this list, a few days ago?
