GF Breadmakers

Hello all,

A friend of mine has recently discovered she cannot eat

gluten. She lives overseas, and therefore cannot buy the myriad breads that

are available to us here in the States.

She was recently given a breadmaker by a friend of hers, and

would like to know, from those of you with breadmakers, does she need a special

kind of breadmaker, or will any old kind do? Also, does the GF bread ever

rise, or should it just get baked in a pan? I mentioned expandex to her,

thinking I recalled someone here using it with great success.

Any pointers would be appreciated.
