From my experience, the answer is a definite Yes!

When I get the kind of symptoms you describe, I usually make myself

a fruit tea (I like Cinnamon and Mango) with some fresh lemon juice

and a spoonful of VCO. You could add honey too if it is not sweet

enough for you. The mixture can take some getting used to,

especially if you are new to VCO or good fats in your diet, but

worth it.

I sit with the warm cup and a teaspoon, stirring each time before

sipping, otherwise the VCO tends to pool on the top and can be not

only rather unpleasant, but also I have burned my lip before as the

heat also pools there! It is not only warming as it goes down, but

also seems to soothe any soreness in the throat with each sip. After

a day or so of 2-3 cups of this kind of tea during the day and a

good night's rest, I usually find the symptoms are much reduced or

completely gone.

It also helps with just about any other skin

ailments/scratches/rashes/acne. I put it on my skin regularly and

it never fails to amaze me.

HTH!
