The Country Gourmet Restaurant in Sunnyvale is almost finished creating a g-f

menu just for us! Blom is one of the owners of the restaurant and is

gluten sensitive (along with her son). Since she now belongs to such an elite,

wonderful group of people (that's US!) who are gluten sensitive and gluten

intolerant, she was determined to serve at her restaurant delicious food that we

all could enjoy. HERE'S THE BEST PART!

She just received in a new pizza oven in which she is planning on serving g-f

pizza!! She will be serving g-f pizza on g-f crusts made by our very own Irene

Kwock (Iamori's)! has already experimented on serving Irene's delicious

g-f raviolis as a weekly special, so I'm hoping she will have these raviolis on

her new g-f menu as well.

Months ago, took me on a tour of her kitchen, and we talked about what

needed to be done regarding cross-contact issues. She studied everything

in-depth of what needed to be changed to safely serve g-f food, so she is very

aware. I am just so darn excited for her that her dream of a g-f menu at her

restaurant is going to come true. She has worked very hard at this!

Their brownies and cornbread are all totally g-f and baked in separate colored

pans (I have heard she serves g-f coffeecake during the weekend but haven't been

there to try it). The last time I ate there, I had a bowl of soup (most of

their soups are g-f) and a big ol' hunk of warm cornbread with melted butter.

It was heaven! The brownie was unbelievably moist and delicious as well. Next

time, I'm going to have their brownie sundae (a warm brownie with ice cream and

chocolate syrup drizzled on it!).

Stay tuned! The g-f pizza should be rolled out within a week and the g-f menu

shortly thereafter. Here's the restaurant's contact information:

Country Gourmet

1314 S. Avenue (corner of and Fremont)

Sunnyvale, CA 94087

The usual cautionary note, though – gluten food is also served at her

restaurant.
