Guest guest
Awesome to know, Sue. I haven't been thrilled with some other stores. Out of curiosity, what is in their mochi that contains gluten? I'll have to plan a little extra time to pick one up at Stanford Shopping Centre next time I'm headed to the doctors! Guest guest
A little wheat flour is in the mochi, unfortunately. I read the ingredients on their package. It's too bad because mochi is inherently gluten-free. Just mix up 1 cup of sweet rice flour, 1 cup of water and about 1/4 cup of sugar and microwave a few minutes until set - pound it out a bit on a board dusted with cornstarch and then cut it into little cubes. It's absolutely delicious for something that doesn't have any flavor! You can flavor it, though, by adding flavorings like stawberry, lemon, etc. Sue > > Awesome to know, Sue.
