Guest guest
Hi all! , our 2 1/2 yr old with SED, is extremely bowlegged, and is having an osteotomy done in 2 weeks, both his femur and his tibia. He will wear a " spica " cast for 2 months (1 month immobile), and braces for 6-8 months afterward. Does anyone have any experience with this? He is very active and we are concerned about how he will handle his temporary loss in mobility. We have stocked up at etoys to hopefully keep his mind stimulated but we would appreciate any advice on handling the emotional and physical aspects of this sort of surgery. Even though my husband is a physician, we really do not know what to expect. Has anyone experienced this surgery? Thanks! Laurie, mom to , 2 1/2, and Noah, 9 months ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
