Hi Connie,

Yes, there is something you can do to reverse this but you are going to

have to give us some more information so we can help you with this.

Have you seen your primary care provider about this condition? Has

he/she given you a diagnosis on what is going on here?

Other than that when you say " I know it is a hole in the gut " do you

mean your stomach or somewhere in the intestines? Also what medications

are you using for this (OTC and/or prescribed). Please tell us what your

diet consists of? Liquids and solids. Have you done any bowel cleansing?

Liver cleansing?

What brings on the sharp pains? How long has this been occurring? I am

not a doctor so I cannot diagnose your condition. Some things to try

which can cover a lot of bases such as Leaky Gut Syndrome, Colitis,

Crohn's Disease and ulcers I have listed below.

Some things you can and should be doing right now, besides seeing your

primary care physician is to increase the amount of anti-oxidants your

are taking. Vit E, Selenium, Vit C. Drinking Aloe Vera is very soothing

to your digestive tract. Licorice root tea is very helpful, drinking

yarrow tea will help. Make a gruel out of Slippery Elm bark (powdered

and mixed with enough distilled water to make a paste) and then pour

boiling water over it and add in some honey and cinnamon or nutmeg.

3 ounces Slippery Elm powdered

8 ounces distilled water

1 teaspoon raw honey

dash cinnamon or nutmeg powdered.

This is very nutritious and will help to soothe your digestive tract also.

I would suggest you take at least 2000 I.U., plenty of good B vitamins,

Take up to 3000 grams of powdered MSM (start off with 1000 grams and

work up), 100mcg Selenium, eat lots of raw garlic as it is anti-fungal

with no side affects, take some raw ginger too for its anti-inflammatory

properties. Do you have any echinacea?

We really can't give you much more to do until we know more about your

habits and lifestyle.

Peace, love and light,

Don Quai

Hi Don Quai and all,

DON: Yes, there is something you can do to reverse

this but you are going to

have to give us some more information so we can help

you with this.

Have you seen your primary care provider about this

condition?

CONNIE: The last time i went to a doc he almost killed

me, so the answer is no. Doc's aren't much good for

anything unless you have a disease you need to mask or

a broke arm or leg.

DON: Has he/she given you a diagnosis on what is going

on here?

CONNIE: About 5 years ago my nutritionist told me it

was a whole in the gut. I am pretty sure he meant the

stomach (The Leaky Gut Syndrome). He saved my life and

got me through all my problems, but then told me about

2 years later when i was in his office with my mother

in law for high blood pressure, that it was a good

thing i got straightened out because he thought i had

breast cancer. Anyway, a very low carb diet with

carrot juice, an anti fungal and Ginko i got better. I

felt great and looked like a knock out, but eventually

went back to my old bad habits. Here i am now 50 lbs

later and much worse. Please don't tell me to see a

doc, because unless i'm dying that will NEVER happen!

DON: Other than that when you say " I know it is a hole

in the gut " do you

mean your stomach or somewhere in the intestines? Also

what medications

are you using for this (OTC and/or prescribed).

CONNIE: I don't take medications. I can't, i'm

allergic to every thing. If i get sick enough to need

them (if anyone ever really gets sick enough to need

their trash they call medicine), i will probably die.

I can't take any thing they offer.

DON: Please tell us what your diet consists of?

Liquids and solids.

CONNIE: Walnuts, Pecans, Sunflower Seeds, Cooked

Vegies and some meat. I am avoiding red meats and

chicken and trying to eat more fish.

Have you done any bowel cleansing?

Liver cleansing?

CONNIE: My mother was suppose to be putting together a

cleanse for me, but she is dragging her feet. I used

to be able to take milk thistle, but the last time i

tried that it caused some problems. Bladder infection

i think. I had finally decided that a cleanse is what

i need, however, i'm not sure which one to try since

it seems that i am sensitive to just about EVERY THING

that i try to take, which scares me to death. Every

time i try to help myself with pills or teas, i find

the only thing that changes is the funds i used to buy

them with. What i'm trying to say is that i'm waisting

a lot of money that i don't have. I work at a health

food store and i'm learning a lot, but haven't come

accross anyone that is dealing with what i'm dealing

with.

DON: What brings on the sharp pains?

CONNIE: It actually sharp pains and itching. Certain

foods like regular teas (Lipton for instance). I think

Chicken maybe, am still watching it. Even carrot juice

seems to make it worse. I can tell that if it didn't

cause the discomfort that it would do me a world of

good! So scary! I know i need it desperatly, but i

can't drink it.

DON: How long has this been occurring?

For about a year or a little more. I started working

in a health food store and started doing Greens Plus

and Proten and that seem to make it much worse than

before. Now, more things seem to bother it. I'm not

sure yet, but it appears that almost any thing i eat,

except for the things i listed above. I'm having to be

very careful and really watch what i eat and basiclly

eat little. I went on a low carb diet about 1.5 yr's

ago and remember experiencing excruciating pain. This

hasn't happened yet, but expect at some point it will.

So if that happens i won't be able to increase my

appetite because of this pain that i'm dealing with

now. OH MY GOD, i'm falling apart. I know it sounds

like i'm creating a problem here (one more that i sure

don't need) that i don't really have yet, but i know

my body. I know it will happen and i have to figure

out what to do.

DON: I am

not a doctor so I cannot diagnose your condition.

CONNIE: I just want YOUR oppinion, that's all.

DON: Some things to try

which can cover a lot of bases such as Leaky Gut

Syndrome, Colitis,

Crohn's Disease and ulcers I have listed below.

CONNIE: I'm leaning towards the Leaky Gut, since that

is the problem that i had before. These other things

you list are just labels. I think the bottom line here

is fungus. Fungus causes EVERY THING. That's what my

nutritionist told me a few years ago and i believe it.

He saved my life. Doug Kaufman was his name.

DON: Some things you can and should be doing right

now, besides seeing your

primary care physician is to increase the amount of

anti-oxidants your

are taking. Vit E, Selenium, Vit C. Drinking Aloe Vera

is very soothing

to your digestive tract.

CONNIE: Well, it seems that i can't take much of what

you listed except for the Aloe Vera and i have started

drinking that and it doesn't seem to be causing any

problems.

DON: Licorice root tea is very helpful, drinking

yarrow tea will help. Make a gruel out of Slippery Elm

bark (powdered

and mixed with enough distilled water to make a paste)

and then pour

boiling water over it and add in some honey and

cinnamon or nutmeg.

3 ounces Slippery Elm powdered

8 ounces distilled water

1 teaspoon raw honey

dash cinnamon or nutmeg powdered.

CONNIE: I'm going to try this and see if helps or

hurts. Where do i get the Slippery Elm powder?

DON: This is very nutritious and will help to soothe

your digestive tract also.

I would suggest you take at least 2000 I.U., plenty of

good B vitamins,

Take up to 3000 grams of powdered MSM (start off with

1000 grams and

work up), 100mcg Selenium, eat lots of raw garlic as

it is anti-fungal

with no side affects, take some raw ginger too for its

anti-inflammatory

properties. Do you have any echinacea?

CONNIE: When you start listing all these things i'm

thinking you haven't talked to any one with my

problems. Most of these would probably cause a bladder

infection. I can't even take my accidolphus any more.

Am i doomed or what?

DON: We really can't give you much more to do until we

know more about your

habits and lifestyle.

CONNIE: I exercise very little and up until 2 weeks

ago my eating habits were taking me to my grave. Yes,

i have brought this on my self. My son has been very

sick and he is still causing me a great deal of

stress, but i have to take care of me now. Hopefully

it's not to late, but it's not looking good. I have

increased my exercise recently and have been forced to

eat healthier.

Thank you Don for trying to help me, your a saint!

Okay Connie,

You are not falling apart. You are just having a rough time of it right

now. And no, nothing I have listed will cause a bladder infection. These

things are antioxidants and don't cause infections. Most likely you

already have the infection and when you are taking these supplements it

is fighting the infection. It will get worse before it gets better. You

are only defeating yourself by stopping taking these things. Where do

you live? Do you have a health food store where you can buy herbs?

Your body needs the antioxidants really badly right now. You also need

something to soothe your digestive tract and slippery elm will do just

that. You can buy it in any herb shop, maybe a HFS or online. Right now

your body needs to repair the digestive tract and it can't do that while

you are eating meat and nuts and not taking your supplements. You should

only be drinking fresh juiced green leafy vegetables and lots of it.

Lots of highly purified or distilled water. Right now your body is quite

toxic and overun with Candida, most likely. It is systemic at this

point. So no matter what you do you are going to have problems. Candida

is very tenacious and doesn't like it when you mess with its survival.

This is most likely why you get the bladder infections and erroneously

think that the supplements are causing the infection.

You can do a detox later but right now you need to soothe and heal the

gut. This takes proper nutrition and extremely easy to digest foods

(fresh raw vegetable juices). You are going to have all sorts of

problems until you get this beast beat. Cayenne and garlic will help to

heal the digestive tract and fight off the yeast. The slippery elm will

help soothe the inflammed tissues and the freshly squeezed green leafy

vegetable drinks will supply your body with the necessary minerals it

needs to repair the damaged cells and tissues. No meat. No seeds or nuts

as they will only feed the problem. Sure maybe you feel pretty good

right now eathing those but then your giving the yeast that which it

likes to live on.

I'm sorry Connie but there is not going to be an easy way out of this.

You are going to have to really work at this and make up your mind that

you are going to beat it. Either you continue to let it control your

life or you control it. That is your choice to make. We can help but you

need to do the work. We will give you the support and offer up the

advice and suggestions.

Get some Slippery Elm bark (powdered). Start taking those supplements

especially the antioxidants. They are very necessary at helping to

combat the yeast and any other organisms that decide to set up shop. You

can do it Connie! Just hang in there and get the Slippery Elm. Then

change your diet and your sons as well. How old is your son by the way?

Peace, love and light,

Don Quai

Connie, Connie...we are on your side. No one is saying take drugs. We

are trying to hear what the problem is and get enough information to

offer a reasonable suggestion- from an email list! There is a lot of

emotion in all you are saying but the specifics are missing, It would

be IRRESPONSIBLE for someone here to throw out a solution to something

so unclear.

I still don't know WHAT fungus. There are many, many and we don't treat

them all alike. Plus I work holistically (ONLY) and if I do not have

the whole picture then I am just a natural drug store and that does not

make any sense to me and is extremely dangerous.

Don is not interested in suggesting anything ELSE that may kill

you....so please hear what we are asking and the spirit in which it is

being asked. I still have no really idea of what is wrong with you and

what you have done- the descriptions are too general and don't really

tell us.

Sorry!! I really believe it is dangerous to hand out ideas and

suggestions to anyone without knowing what we are talking about.

If it is PRIVATE- if you want to speak of the details with a woman-

regarding vaginal issues etc please email privately. Your welcome to

speak freely here- but it's helpful to know what you are saying,

" Fungal " could mean anything- I don't know what pain and where,

etc....what is really going on?

Lastly, I am sure what ever IS happening - it's stressful to discuss-

it draws you into the problem and your frustration with it all...and

makes it hard to talk about. Try to detach enough to share the facts if

you can so we can help you- that is the reason we all gather here. AND,

we are not again NOT able to diagnose you- first it is illegal and

second it is IMPOSSIBLE by internet and we are not diagnosticians.

YOU have to be responsible for offering us what you think the diagnosis

is...from your Dr...for a Naturopath...anyone who is qualified BY YOUR

STANDARDS to make a diagnosis or gather/ assess the facts. If you don't

know then I would find someone in real life who has a natural approach

to get your diagnosis and help from- or give us the specifics so we can

try to help by email. Let us know what's going on and tell us if there

are any health/ wellness issues we should know about as well as your

health goals.

Take care~

The few times that i went to a doctor he didn't help

me. Quite the opposite actually, he almost killed me.

The last time (5 years ago) i was really sick i broke

out in a itching rash. Some skin discoloration in the

folds of my body. Behind the knees and on the arms.

There wasn't ONE place on my body that didn't itch.

NOT ONE!!! I went on a high protein and low carb with

carrot juice and got better. Lost weight and felt

great. This lasted for a while and then the sugar

craving came back. Started eating bad. Son became

sick. Stress, stress, and more stress!!!!! Eating

habits really got bad. Bottom line is i'm sick from

eating bad. Diet and stress has caused all of this.

Oh, i hear the loving spirit. Unfortunatly, emails

don't come with emotion, but i do hear the spirit and

i appreciate it. I'm just an emotional person to begin

with, plus the brain fog and i'm scared, so if my post

seem blunt or sharp, please understand where i'm

coming from. I'm like everyone else, i have way to

much to do trying to keep my head above water, so

spending time trying to help myself is time that i

don't really have. And here you guys are on the other

end, spending time that you dont' really have helping

someone else. GEESSS! Man, don't think i don't know!

That's why i keep telling you how much i appreciate

it. I'm so worn down from being on the computer

concerning my self with my son that i don't take the

time to help others some times. When i know i could.

So, for someone to take the time to help me is HUGE!!!

Of course when your dealing with mental health issues

you say a lot and people go along their merry way and

do what they want. It gets old trying to help people

that don't really want to listen. That don't have the

means to do what your suggesting. That don't really

seem to appreciate what your trying to tell them.

Again, i appreciate all your time and effort. I'M

LISTENING!!!!

I still have no really idea of what is

> wrong with you and

> what you have done- the descriptions are too general

> tell us.

Well, i'm not sure what else to say. I have never had

any testing done. I went to an herbalist a couple of

years ago and he told me to eat more greeens, so that

is right in line with what Don is saying.

OK, i thought about emailing you privately, BUT i have

always been one to be bold, so here goes. Every thing

is the way i have been telling you except that the

pricking like sensations are centralized in the

vaginal area, not in the vagina, but all around that

area. It's like something is on the inside poking me

with a needls. It hurts so bad! Carrot juice and tea,

etc make it worse. There is no way i can tolerate that

pain! I am basicly starving myself trying to minimize

it. I can rub castor oil on my stomach and liver area

and that puts me to sleep. I don't know why this is so

effective, but it is. THANK GOD!!! This started about

a year and a half ago and has recently gotten much

worse with the greens plus and protein. I stopped

that, but am still having problems that have gotten

worse than it was before the greens plus and protein.

I will see if i can put together more, but for now

that is about it. I know i tend to be short with my

answers and really need to slow down and try to

concentrate so that i can give you all the specifics.

I know all about the trickyness of trying to help

people medically over the internet and i don't want

anyone in trouble. You can't tell me what to do, BUT

YOU CAN TELL ME WHAT YOU WOULD DO. And that's all i'm

looking for.

Thank you,

Hi Connie,

Okay, your in Texas so you should be able to get hold of some Slippery

Elm bark (just make sure it is powdered). When you do begin to take it

everyday using the recipe I sent previously. If you don't have it

anymore just let me know and I will resend it to you.

As for the anitoxidants, those are Vit. E, Vit. C, Selenium, Vit. A

(beta carotene), alpha-lipoic acid. These supplements help to reduce the

damage done to your cells and tissues by free radicals.Yeasts create a

lot of mycotoxins and bacteria create their own toxins. These damage

your cells, tissues and organs. This is why you need the antioxidants.

Protein does not kill yeast infections. Quite the contrary. Animal

proteins are a mucus forming food. They are acidic in the body which

causes the body to create a lot of mucus. All this mucus creates other

problems as well. Bacteria, fungi and viruses love an acidic body. They

thrive in it. They love it when you eat a lot of meat, carbohydrates,

dairy products, refined flours and sugars. This is because all of these

foods create mucus and are acidic to your body. Raw fruits and

vegetables, on the other hand, are alkalinizing to your body. They do

not create mucus and therefore do not put your immune system in

jeopardy. Bacteria, fungi and viruses do not like an alkaline body. They

deplore it becasue they cannot thrive in it. So your eating meat and

nuts did not kill the fungus. You just gave it what it wanted to pacify

it. As long as you are feeding it what it wants it is happy. Take away

what it likes and it will fight bitterly to the end. It wants to survive

as well.

It doesn't matter how much spinach it takes to make a glass of juice for

you to drink. What matters is you need to get your digestive system

handled and the yeast under control. Your immune system is at an all

time low. This is why all of this is happening. Bad diet, too much

stress... you bet this can ruin your health really quickly. You can

juice any green leafy vegetable. If you don't have a juicer use a

blender. Just juice and juice and juice. Drink lots of it. Can you get

wheat grass juice? That would be very good for your condition right now.

It would help with the yeast and help heal the inflammed and damaged

digestive system. If you can't get it don't worry about it. Go with what

you can get and use. Preferrably organic but don't let that stop you if

you can't get organic. Spinach, parsley, celery, kale, collards, red

leaf lettuce, cilantro, etc. All can be used. You can also juice up

cucumbers as they are very watery and soothing. Try to stay away from

overyly acidic fruits like tomatoes and citrus for now.

Here is a formula for insomnia that should help you relax and get some

sleep. It should also help with your nerves and stress

1 part Scullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora)

1 part Lady Slipper (Cypripedium calceolus var. pubescens)

1 part Hops (Humulus lupulus)

1 part Catnip (Nepeta cataria)

1 part Black Cohosh (Cimnicifuga racemosa)

A part is by volume and not weight. So if you were to purchase 1 ounce

of each of these herbs then use say 1/2 cup of each or so.

Mix these together and use 1 heaping teaspoonful of the herbs to a

cupful of hot water, cover and steep for 10 to 20 minutes. Sip it while

it is warm before going to bed.

You should be able to obtain these herbs at your HFS, herb shop or

online if you can't find them.

Moreover Connie, you need to change your outlook. You cannot change

another. You can only change yourself. You won't be able to do that if

you continue to create the problems with a lot of negative words and

thoughts. You need to become positive and begin to think positive. Use

positive words and begin to heal yourself, not kill. You will get better

but only if you want to and you take your own health into your hands and

do the work. Be positive Connie and we will get your through this.

Peace, love and light,

Don Quai

I just thought of adding that a pro-biotic supplement might do wonders too.

Hi Connie,Yes, there is something you can do to reverse this but you are going to have to give us some more information so we can help you with this.Have you seen your primary care provider about this condition? Has he/she given you a diagnosis on what is going on here?Other than that when you say "I know it is a hole in the gut" do you mean your stomach or somewhere in the intestines? Also what medications are you using for this (OTC and/or prescribed). Please tell us what your diet consists of? Liquids and solids. Have you done any bowel cleansing? Liver cleansing? What brings on the sharp pains? How long has this been occurring? I am not a doctor so I cannot diagnose your condition. Some things to try which can cover a lot of bases such as Leaky Gut Syndrome, Colitis, Crohn's Disease and ulcers I have listed below. Some things you can and should be doing right now, besides seeing your primary care physician is to increase the amount of anti-oxidants your are taking. Vit E, Selenium, Vit C. Drinking Aloe Vera is very soothing to your digestive tract. Licorice root tea is very helpful, drinking yarrow tea will help. Make a gruel out of Slippery Elm bark (powdered and mixed with enough distilled water to make a paste) and then pour boiling water over it and add in some honey and cinnamon or nutmeg.3 ounces Slippery Elm powdered8 ounces distilled water1 teaspoon raw honeydash cinnamon or nutmeg powdered. This is very nutritious and will help to soothe your digestive tract also.I would suggest you take at least 2000 I.U., plenty of good B vitamins, Take up to 3000 grams of powdered MSM (start off with 1000 grams and work up), 100mcg Selenium, eat lots of raw garlic as it is anti-fungal with no side affects, take some raw ginger too for its anti-inflammatory properties. Do you have any echinacea? We really can't give you much more to do until we know more about your habits and lifestyle.Peace, love and light,Don Quai"Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man."Connie wrote:>>> Hello,>> In the process of helping my son i have neglected> myself and as a result have become very sick. It's a MUST. She will hear all about them on the candida list she just

joined.

Most of them on the market are junk- like so much on the market these

days.

Well now ,

That is a tough one to say. We don't really know what the Specific

Gravity of Slippery Elm is so we can't really say how much it is. We

can't really say that 2 tablespoons of Slippery Elm bark will equal 1

oz. of Slippery Elm bark without knowing the SG of Slippery Elm Bark. It

might be 2 tablespoons, it might be 6 tablespoons it might even be 15

tablespoons. Hmmmm, guess I should get out my Slippery Elm bark, powder

it up and see. Then we will all know.

When dealing with liquids and volume 2 tablespoons make 1 oz. But when

dealing with powders and weight it is a different scenario altogether.
