Hi folks:

Gosh, and I had never realized that fibre, that is not absorbed, is

included in the carbohyrate number in the nutrient analyses. Is that

really correct? If so then no wonder we have difficulty correlating

weight change with the calorie data we have for the foods we eat.

AFAIK, the presence of fiber is considered in calculations of caloric

content of foods.
