Guest guest
Taking your aspirin at bedtime is also good for your cardiovascular health. Thrombotic events (such as those leading to heart attacks) tend to occur in the early morning hours, when your coagulation system is at its most thrombotic. Taking aspirin before bed helps to aleviate this risk. >From: Francesca Skelton <fskelton@...> >Reply- >support group < > >Subject: [ ] insomnia and aspirin >Date: Sun, 22 Feb 2004 17:39:13 -0500 > >As I sometimes suffer from this, and get private messages from those in the >group who are in the same boat, I'm always looking for ways to beat the >problem. Guest guest
Last night I skipped the melatonin and tried the aspirin. No go. I was up several times during the night. So unless someone finds out the aspirin is somehow " cumulative " , for me, the melatonin works the best. I may still take the aspirin at night, but not for sleep reasons. on 2/22/2004 5:53 PM, Mark at finewinemark@... wrote: > Francesca ~ > > I would be very interested to hear if taking an > aspirin before bed helps. Guest guest
The Promise of Sleep: A Pioneer in Sleep Medicine Explores the Vital Connection Between Health, Happiness, and a Good Night's Sleep by C. Dement This is an excellent book on the subject of sleep.... Less the $20 for paperback. JR PS: While aspirin is surely a miracle drug, I'm not aware of any connection to sleep quality, or benefit if you're already healthy and consuming a low calorie low inflammation diet. -----Original Message----- From: Francesca Skelton [mailto:fskelton@...] Sent: Monday, February 23, 2004 7:38 AM Subject: Re: [ ] insomnia and aspirin Last night I skipped the melatonin and tried the aspirin.
