Guest guest
I think the most telling study showed simply that unsaturated oils shorten the lifespan of long-lived mammals: Low fatty acid unsaturation: a mechanism for lowered lipoperoxidative modification of tissue proteins in mammalian species with long life spans. http://tinyurl.com/PUFA-lifespan J Gerontol A Biol Sci Med Sci 2000 Jun;55(6):B286-91 The more unsaturated oil in the diet, the more oxidative damage and the more one's lifespan is reduced. If I was ignorant of this data I'd be less in a position to think for myself and use these oils sparingly. There are more references on my coconut oil page: http://members.shaw.ca/duncancrow/coconut-oil.html Duncan > > http://wholehealthsource.blogspot.com/ > > If you can, read the Ray Peat thing too - it's pretty good. > > http://raypeat.com/articles/articles/unsaturated-oils.shtml >
