Seems to me that Weil should actually read the scientific literature

before making statements like that. I had terrible leg cramps when I

started eating a lot more cooked spinach. I felt I needed more folic

acid. Once I discovered the low oxalate diet, my leg cramps went

away.

Hi liz,

I know of one woman who had cancer 10 years ago and after her

treatments, she completely switched to a macro biotic diet and she's

been doing very well since then. Thanks for mentioning the macro

biotic diet. phine

Alobar,

Thanks for your comments too. I went to Amazon and read the comments

on the books written by the Kushis and wasn't that impressed.

Furthermore, Mrs. Kushi and her daughter died of cancer.

Liz, the thing that jumped out at me was the reference to all-cooked

foods. Some foods contain glutathione preciursors when raw but not

cooked, and we can't forget our body's master antioxidant and

detoxifier, as all diseases are linked to low glutathione. Use the

raw whey powder!!

Hi Duncan,

Yes, I'm reading the Antioxidant Miracle right now as a matter of

fact. The more I learn, the more conflicting information I get. I

wish there were just one big database for everyone to report their

experiences and health histories (all scientific explanations aside to

avoid making mistakes due to the unknown).
