Why don't you go to

www.mirc.com

download the program most of us use and connect thru there.

After you download and open follow these instructions

first go to File

then choose options

make sure connect is highlighted

and in the box where it says IRC Servers: ALL

and in the next box make sure it says: StarChat: Random server

its a long list of servers but its there

then go to the channels folder icon (3rd from left)

and double click

where it says Enter name of channel to join:

type in: #dwarfism

hit: ADD button

then choose: Join

And you should be in the room
