Guest guest
To Rodney and any others interested in oysters: there's a brand of plain canned oysters called: " Geisha " - my supermarket is running a sale because the item is being discontinued. In the meantime I was able to get several cans at rock bottom prices. As with almost all canned goods, they contain salt. (Smoked, salted, name your poison :-). I plan to drain the water they're in, and rinse them, before steaming in plain water.
Guest guest
You might want to steam them using a fish fumet or bottled clam broth to get more flavor.
