As the " warning " was a hoax to harvest e-mails, I have no idea why you

are glad you got the warning.

One post like this generates many comments. If one wants warnings

about computer spam and viruses, there are plenty of groups which

specialize in them.

Maybe you can step in here and explain the rules and regulations of this

forum.

Personally, I don't care for this information and as I belong to many forums

on , everyone's good intentions turn into a mass of unnecessary

emails and then all the responses to those emails and for the most part most

of these warnings turn out to be fakes.

If you check out the second post in this thread, the " warning " was

checked out on snopes.com and it is not a valid warning.

Here is another fact to consider. I would hope that each and every

one of us who is on the WWW has a good anti-virus program that

updates automatically. Many of those programs will send out their own

warnings as well. It is their business to keep up on all new threats.

If it comes in the format of a private email, it is a spam scam. Same

thing with any " petitions " that are not done through a website that

has a special interest in the cause being petitioned and will not

only protect your private information (i.e. not send it out in a many-

headed hydra type email blitz) but will truly do with it what they

say.

Repeat: this warning is not valid. And this forum is not the place

for such warnings. All such emails should be checked out on snopes.com

AND ALL PERSONAL EMAIL ADDRESSES SHOULD BE DELETED FROM THE FORWARDS

IF THE PERSON FEELS THEY JUST MUST SEND THEM!

I, for one, am sick of being opened up for spam by a thoughtless

inveterate forwarder sending my email to ultimately thousands of

people on the net. This happens to be one of my pet peeves.

Sincerely, Jill~

The group is for coconut or health related information. Please put OT (off topic

in the subject if you deviate from the program. Im fairly tollerant as long as

the OT doesnt drag on.Y'all are draggin here.

Please let this thread die.

They cant harvest emails by sending it to the group the only email they could

havest is the address of the group itself.
