OK I’m gullible.

I read your posts and went out on the net to research the Warrior Diet.

This is the goofiest excuse for a healthful diet I’ve

ever seen. If eating just once a

day makes you feel like warrior, go for it. What KIND of warrior I’m unsure

about. In some of the reviews, the

author talks about Roman warriors.

In others, he talks about foraging/hunting cavemen warriors. For those who are romantically

challenged, this diet reads like a le Steele novel. If you really want to feel like a

warrior, enlist in the Army Reserves.

The war is within, people. Food isn’t the enemy. If you find it difficult to eat moderately

throughout the day, as your body requires, then surely it is COMMON SENSE, not food,

which you SHOULD seek to master. You

don’t qualify as a warrior because you fast all day and eat by the

campfire at night. Don’t

chase windmills with your romantic notions . As jwwright said, “ I ALWAYS rebel

when I hear phrases like " rests the digestive system " and " never

has the opportunity to heal/clean itself " , " strain on the

heart " , " making the system stronger and more efficient.” Keep your bullshit detectors clean and

oiled, people.

The perfect diet is insanely simple, which is why I haven’t

posted in such a long time. It’s

so simple that I’m totally amazed we need to have volumes of books and a

discussion group to figure it all out. The perfect diet is INSANELY simple. The problem is our insurmountable

humanity, which distracts us from the perfect diet. We have a built-in survival mechanism

which seeks to make a mountain out of every molehill. All of our instincts scream, “It

can’t possibly be that simple.”

It is. It is

this simple: “Eat what your

body needs, when it needs it. Eat

no more. Eat no less.”
