Guest guest
Doesn''t stir frying or baking destroy much of the chemicals which make red palm oil have such good nutrition? Guest guest
Thanks Bonnie. I THOUGHT this was the brand I have (but obviously not!) I am going to have to check the bottle and see what brand I do actually have. It¹s jungle something, but right now I DON²T think its jungle pi Thanks for sharing! If I can find somebody around here that wants this one, I may just give it away until I can find this brand. Whatever Jungle brand I have I got at Whole Foods when I was there for something else (which they have since stopped carrying). Thanks! Guest guest
Apparently unrefined Red Palm Oil does not lose it's nutrients, having a smoke point of 437° F. compared to 350°F for unrefined Coconut Oil. And I forgot to mention that it also contains Vitamin A (used in third world countries for night blindness) and more that I've probably forgotten to mention. I believe it is far better to get these nutrients (that I mentioned in my previous email) in food rather than supplements which would have the individual Sterols for instance, removed from their original state which changes their bioavailability (not to mention their actions) nutritionally useful in the body.
