Guest guest
I took Ultimate Flora for at least 5 months. When I had a test done which shows the types of bacteria in my system, the bifidus part was extrememly low. The probiotics were supposed to have a high count of bifidus so I threw them away because they were obiviously not working. Just for your information.. > > Thank you Helen, Chantelle, Van Essa and Alobar for your suggestions. Guest guest
Weightlifter, I would be interested in the type/name of the test you had conducted to measure the body bacteria. I would like to have my system checked also. Could be interesting results. Abundant Blessings,

Guest guest
The reason oral probiotics don't work is that each capsule actually only PROPOSES the culture to your bowel lining by presenting enough probiotic to cultivate about TWO to FOUR cc's of fecal slurry, if the bowel ecology is around 25% incorrect. You'd need roughly 250 capsules or a packet of VSL#3 to cultivate the bowel's 2 liters alone, and at that point you still haven't guaranteed that the organisms will be competitive on the bowel lining where the war really counts because that requires slow-fermenting feed anyway and the feed is not present in enough quantity in the most-selected modern vegetables. But we don't even need a starter culture of that much probiotic because the starter culture is already present in the gut. By going low-carb and skewing dietary inulin fiber to be closer to our historic intake we can improve our bowel ecology in about 4 weeks whether we take advantage of a probiotic regimen or not. In other words oral probiotics work if you feed them their inulin, which we have to do anyway to keep the culture active. Some of the foods to chose are in my inulin references: http://tinyurl.com/inulin-references Duncan http://members.shaw.ca/duncancrow > > > > Thank you Helen, Chantelle, Van Essa and Alobar for your > suggestions.
