Guest guest
Speaking only for myself, I have had a long history of issues with food (something common to most women, I would suspect.) Everything from bingeing and purging to fad diets to liquid protein diets. It was only when I began viewing food as a way to build and sustain health that I began to have a truly healthy relationship with food. When I chose veggies over chips, I am affirming the value of my life. When I chose to skip the white bread and order a reasonable portion of salmon instead of a heaving plate of pasta, I'm making an investment in the future of my health. Food is a vital part of my life...because it adds to my vitality by making the best choices. Yes, I do spend a lot of time reading, thinking and chosing food..but I consider that time an investment in my health. Now...this is not to say that other's choices/attitudes are inferior to my own..this is just my attitude.
