Hello Everyone!

1. More often you see now articles, like this one today on msn.com,

about the surge of obesity worldwide. That the overeating is like an

addiction of sorts, or just just that.

2. When thinking about this issue, I remember how soldiers looked in

films and documentaries from WWII, like those narrated by Capra or

the famous WWII series with Lawrence Olivier. They looked real

trimmed down on fat, skinny, and strong. The thinner's, I recall,

were the Germans soldiers sin North Africa and the British soldiers

in Burma, especially the latter. The American GIs arrived fatter, but

soon were also down to their bones.

3.Given my yoga practice and experience, I once wrote a simple 5-

point list that I attached to my wallet, and also gave to several

friends. It goes like this:

· Eat as little as possible.

· Drink your solids, chew your liquids (copied straight from a Gandhi

saying, pretty obvious)

· Eat Sattwic food (translates as bland, fresh, vegetarian food,

including wholesome milk and some milk products).

· You must eat; you mustn't eat (this is a tricky one, it means you

should always remember those things that you should eat, and those

that you shouldn't)

· Eat slowly and conscientiously (the latter part very important).

God's speed!
