Guest guest
Hi Bing: Of course those who can readily do without sweeteners will feel no need to use them. Which is just fine. Those who find that the use of something like sucralose makes it easier to comply with the caloric requirements of a CR diet, can do so safely according to all the SERIOUS sources I have been able to find. Here is another source I consider worth paying attention to: http://europa.eu.int/comm/food/fs/sc/scf/out68_en.pdf http://snipurl.com/6b66 If I understand the material correctly it says (after translation into practical terms of the kind with which we are all familiar) that it has been proven safe to consume sucralose - AFTER the application of a safety factor of 100:1 - in amounts equivalent to about 2400 calories of table sugar per day for a 70 kg individual. Before application of the safety factor that means no material adverse effects were found at a level equivalent to 240,000 calories of sugar per day. That is safe enough for me ; ^ ))) Rodney. > Here is the article I read: > > Sucralose Toxicity Information Center > Address: > http://www.holisticmed.com/splenda/ Changed:7:47 AM on Tuesday, May 11, > 2004 > > I disagree with some of what Mercola writes about nutrition and > medicine.
